unlocking my potential
Funding by the Department of Corrective Services and Trust Philanthropy in partnership with Dunn and Lewis Youth Foundation and Willow Tree Training, saw 144 young women and men from Year 9 complete the “Unlocking My Potential” Health and Personal Development Program.
This eight week program provides education through information in the areas of; Self Esteem, Body Image, Drug and Alcohol, Problem Solving, Gender Expectations, Gender Relations, Money Management, Careers, Goal Setting and Sexual Choices.
Evaluations from this program have strongly indicated that the programs have made a significant impact on the participants in regard to how they view themselves, school participation and the improved relationships built with parents and others.
