Toy School
Auditions have been and held and rehearsals have begun for this year’s drama production,
Toy School.
Toy School, written by Paul Collette and Robert Wright, is being performed by special
arrangement with Dominie Pty Ltd at Milton Theatre on Saturday, November 28th at 2pm.
It is a short children’s play about a group of toys who don’t automatically know how to be the perfect plaything for their future owners. They have to learn how to do their thing at Toy School.
The characters including Ted E. Bear, Princess Ann, Prima Donna and Glow toy, go to toy school to hopefully graduate and receive their price tags so they can attain the privilege of being sold.
The play deliver’s a gentle message on liking yourself, having confidence, persevering and the importance of education and friendship as each toy discovers who they are and that they are all good at something.
This year’s Drama crew are working with drama team, Dean and Bonnie and meet every week to rehearse for the big day.
All characters have been filled but we are always looking for people to be involved in the stage, costumes and helping out, so if you are interested, come see Dean at the centre. Pictured Last year’s trophy winners from the Ulladulla Youthy
Dance and Drama crew.
Mixing it up with some cool new moves at the youthy is talented local dance teacher, Jeremy Gates and his new “Our Voice” mixed Hip Hop Crew. The crew meets every Tuesday to learn new moves for their routine which will be the opening act at this year’s annual Drama Production, at the Milton Theatre on Saturday, November 28th at 2pm. There will be other opportunities to see this hot new group perform, so stay tuned for more performance dates later in the year.
